SECA Hunting Safaris Pty Ltd T/A Blackhorn Safaris Terms and Conditions of Business
All business is conducted and undertaken subject to the below terms and conditions:
DEPOSIT
A deposit payment is required to secure the booking of your hunting Safari. Without a deposit payment the dates for the hunt will not be reserved and are open to be booked by another hunter. The deposit payment must be received in our bank account within 20 days from the date of acceptance of the hunt quotation.
The following deposits are required depending on the hunt details:
- Plains Game Safari – USD $ 2 500.00 per plains game hunt booked.
- Package Hunts – USD $ 3000.00 per hunting package booked.
- Dangerous Game Safari – USD $ 50% of day fees for the duration of the hunt – per hunt booked.
The balance outstanding of all day fees is payable on the day of arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Should it become necessary to cancel or move the dates of your hunt – Dangerous Game Safari – Package hunt the following will apply:
A Hunt – Dangerous Game Safari – Package hunt cancelled within 90 days prior to the date of commencement. Full forfeit of the deposit unless another hunt can be booked to fill the hunting dates in which case a 50% credit shall be applied to a new booking to be taken within 180 days of the previous booking. Dependent on Blackhorn Safaris current bookings and availability.
A Hunt – Dangerous Game Safari – Package hunt cancelled before 180 days prior to the date of commencement. 70% of the deposit shall be applied to a new deposit for a hunt to be taken within 180 days of the dates of the previous booking. Dependent on Blackhorn Safaris current bookings and availability.
No refund or credit for late arrival or early termination of the hunt – Dangerous Game Safari or package hunt shall apply whatsoever.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT
- The balance outstanding of all day fees is payable on the day of arrival.
- All trophy fees for animals hunted or wounded and lost are due on the last day of the hunt and are to be paid in full before departure.
- Any extras for goods and services such as alcohol, rifle hire etc. to be settled in full on the last day of the hunt.
WOUNDED GAME
An animal shall be considered to have been hunted – wounded under any of the following conditions:
- Blood, bone fragments, stomach contents or liquid is discovered where the animal was standing during the shot or at any other point during the tracking process.
- It is agreed by the majority of the hunting party that the animal was hit by the shot.
While the staff at Blackhorn Safaris will make every reasonable effort to pursue, track and recover all wounded animals this is not always possible.
All wounded and lost animals shall be considered to have been hunted, and/or will be subtracted from the package hunt and will be paid for in full by the hunter as the circumstances may apply.
LIABILITY
All clients or guests shall be required to sign an Indemnity waiver before the commencement of any hunt – Dangerous Game Safari- Package hunt or other activity. While Blackhorn Safaris, its agents and employees take the utmost care to ensure the safety of our hunting guests/clients and their belongings, we accept no liability in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to person or property arising out of any act, omission or negligence, sickness, quarantine, weather conditions, animal, insect or reptile, war, strikes, riots or any other cause outside of our control. The client/guest shall be deemed to have waived, renounced and abandoned any and all right or entitlement which the guest/client may be entitled to under the provisions of the law of the Republic of South Africa for any loss or damage to person or property whatsoever. We recommend that all guests/clients take out baggage, travel, trip cancellation and medical evacuation insurance before embarking on a trip- hunt –Dangerous game Safari – Package hunt or other activity with Blackhorn Safaris. JURISDICTIONThe Courts of the Republic of South Africa shall have sole jurisdiction in any matter arising to the exclusion of the Courts of any other country and the law of the Republic of South Africa shall apply. |
